I need to figure out how to get one legally or at least find someone close by that has one.

I have spent the last two years plus designing a carrier group for the ar-15 for training purposes. Yes, it uses a laser after the trigger is pulled like the original round in the chamber and it also resets the trigger like the mantis system. But unlike those, mine has full recoil with mag changes.

In around June.. I will be submitting my design for patent process. Having engineers going over my design to see all my measurements and give me the ok basically to get prototypes built.

To test said prototypes, I need to know when they fail and what makes them fail. No one wants to sit there and pull a thousand rounds on a prototype to make it break when it doesn't go... bang.

I've talked to the local sheriff. But he knows as much about it as me.

I'm trying to figure out if I can get an ffl/sot and that would work here. I get mixed answers and talking to the doj... pfft. Good luck.

The 15 grand for an m16 lower doesn't matter to me because I would just put it back on the market after that and get my money back. I don't need it.

Input on this would be greatly appreciated. I have drawn out the carrier group down to the .0001" to make my design. I guess I can upload the files here. I had to do that just to make my design and yes... some measurements are missing but that is only because I didn't need them. I can add them if anyone is interested and wants them.

Anyways. I'm just throwing it out there to see if I can get some help on this one.

You need to be a Type 07-FFL Class 2 SOT with a current US Government or US Military contract for research & development, before CA DOJ will issue you a valid Dangerous Weapons Permit for MG.
^The DWP for MG is required in order for BATFE to approve the transfer (Form 4) of a MG to a CA resident.

This entire process may take 2-4 years to be completed and then you can legally obtain a Title 2 MG in CA.
^This time period does not account for the BATFE wait times for approval, which may be another 2+ years.
