Business Owner Fires on 4 Robbers

    Hope this isn't a dupe:

A business owner used a shotgun to defend himself against four robbers who walked into his store at West 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue at 3:09 p.m. and attempted to rob the business, killing two of the men, the police said.

I just hope the guy doesnt catch grief for having the shotgun.

He's 2 for 4.. a pretty good average in my book

How amazing that even in an instance where a man's life was saved, the first statement issued by police officers is that they aren't sure if the victim of the robbery was within his rights to save his employee's life.

Good for him. Save an employee, exercise his rights.

I suspect that this store owner's gonna go down. One man had a gun. 2 are dead and 2 are shot. Of course, that's the way it should be, but this is NY we're talking about. All it takes is for one guy to claim he had no idea his friend was armed and going to rob the place when the next thing he knew he was being shot by the store owner.

How come they said the shotgun probably wasn't registered but didn't comment on the suspects handgun? Wouldn't it be wise to lean on the bad guy instead of the good guy?

LOL, excellent observation! The cops just assume that the bad guys didn't have a license for the pistol, and focus on the good guy with the shotgun... which begs the question once again: what good are gun laws that restrict law-abiding citizens from having protection, if even in THIS situation the cops are more worried about whether the OLD GUY WITH THE SHOTGUN BROKE A GUN LAW????

The old guy killed one with the first shot and hit the other three with the second and third shots.

The DA is looking at charging the old guy for not having a permit for his shotgun.

My first question for his lawer and the 12 NRA members on the jury.
Is there proof these other two guys were involved in this robbery?
