How often do you cycle your defense loads?

How often and why? I recently shot 38 loads that have been in my 637 for over 6 years and 9mm loads that have bounced between a g26 and g19 for 8 years. All functioned as intended and felt as hot as newer load of the same make and specs. Both ammunitions in question have been exposed to constant hot and cold shift from the times I?ve stored them in my car over the years. Also exposure to steam from when sitting on my bathroom sink while I shower lol. I figured due to how long it?s been it was time to cycle my defense loads.

I once fired a bunch of my self defense rounds that were over 25 years old, just because I thought to refresh my defensive stockpile.

    They all fired.

As long as the ammo is stored in a dry place that doesnt get too hot or is humid, theyll last your life time.

Shoot the ones in your EDC if u carry, just to be sure your sweat hasnt ruined any of them. More likely than not, theyre fine.

Once a year. Working at a restaurant you sweat on them daily. In the louisiana heat is no joke cause its humid asf. All of the old ammo went off with no issues.

Since I carry one in the chamber, I leave that jhp in there and swap the other jhp rounds in my mag for fmj when practicing at the range. When I finish, I'll put one new jhp in the mag first (so the new round is at the bottom) and put the rest of the jhp back in the mag and chamber one. This way, I'm regularly cycling through my defensive rounds.

          Never.

When I’m first trying a new round in my weapon, I’ll run one or two mags just to be sure it works properly. Then I’ll load up all the rest of my mags and forget about it. Only when running different ammo do run another check.

Do you mean cycle defensive obsolete and worthless rounds of ammunition atop a Korean Owned Business

I replace all of my defensive carry ammo loaded in guns every 1-2 years with brand new, whether they needed to be swapped out or not.

Every 2 years, even if it was a gun with ammo I only carried once.

                  A few times monthly.

I shoot my defense rounds every range trip.
