do you put the new ones in the back and put the old ones in the front or you just put the new ones in front of the old?

Do you rotate your ammo?

I rotate all my M1 Garand ammo exactly 2.4 times: one rotation every 10 inches, as it accelerates towards the muzzle. Otherwise, no. Many of us regularly shoot mil-surp ammo that is over 50 years old. If it has been stored properly it effectively has no shelf life. If it is stored properly.Comment

My stored loaded mags - no. They're the first ones going into the bag for range days.
My carry mags - used to rotate every 6 months, but not anymore. If they're still in the mag at the one year point - its being used as practice ammo during carry drills on the range.Comment

I've shot plenty of pre-WWII ammo without any failures. It works fine. I don't see the need to rotate. The ammo I have will far outlive me."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill

Ammo that's exposed to heat will get 'hotter' in its volatility. If it's stored somewhere that's not temp controlled, expect a change to it's power.
I'll use older ammo first, it just helps keep the reserve ammo newer/ready to go. Some of my ammo had to endure being stored in a hot car, and yep, I can tell the powder is hotter now.Leftists Call their own Marxism a far-right "Fascist Conspiracy Theory" <- Link to their playbookComment
