    Backstabber resigning

Wayne Robert LaPierre Jr. (born November 8, 1949) is an American gun rights lobbyist who is the CEO and executive vice president of the National Rifle Association (NRA), a position he has held far too long.
On January 5, 2024, the NRA posted on X that LaPierre would resign from his position on January 31. The announcement came amid allegations of corruption and ahead of a civil trial in Manhattan.

Apparently there is a thread in OT. Seems odd that it wouldn?t be in one of the actual firearm related sub-forums. OT is a cesspool so I don?t go there.

I'm banned from OT. Probably the best thing CG has ever done for me.

Many years ago, I asked to be banned from OT. The mods obliged.

If we're going to shut down the dupe threads on this topic, may as well be sure to shut down those with slanderous titles.

Whatever Wayne may have done in being sloppy with funds, he certainly has never been a 'backstabber' to the NRA or gun owners.

Peanut gallery chatter and nonsense from apathetic gun owners that wouldn't join any 2nd Amendment rights organization regardless, let alone wouldn't lift a finger to do anything about their 2nd Amendment civil rights at all.

Doing some good for 2a rights doesn't grant you a free pass to steal money that was supposed to go to the cause. It's been known he's been doing this for as long as I remember.

Buying some dude private plane trips doesn't do a damn thing for gun rights. If you care about the second, you should care about funds being skimmed away from activism for it.

OP makes an allegation yet provides no evidence, or even explanation to support that allegation. Conclusion: OP is not a serious person.

All the purists who said they'd never join NRA as long as LaPierre was president, will they now join up?

Probably not: these people like to shoot their yap more than their guns and besides, doing nothing is easy.

I disagree. He is an awesome representative of the 2A community and his reach is huge, well articulated and from everything we know a stand up guy.

What we need is a constitutional legal scholar, someone that can approach the laws and understand what is needed to be done on the government level.

Because of leadership and the laws they negotiated to infringe on our 2A rights I never joined NRA.

Get someone like a Mark Smith the constitutional lawyer that always is on TV interviews, has his own four boxes diner YouTube channel and see what someone like that does on the government level

And yes I am a member of crpa, goa, and nagr. Say what you want but on numerous occasions the NRA has folded and compromised 2A laws only for it to comeback and bite all of us in the rear. That doesn't even include using money for unreasonable things
