    Shipping shotgun back to manufacture?

Hello, my Browning A5 is having the DuraTouch issue where the entire gun turns into a sticky fly trap. I will need to send the entire shotgun back to Browning so they can strip it and re-dip under warranty.

Am I able to ship it directly to them through ups or another agency without an FFL?

Once it?s all done will they be able to ship it back to my residential address? The serial number and all the parts will remain the same. Does it need to be shipped back to an FFL then I receive it from the FFL?

    Thank you.

Yes. Ship USPS, most other shippers wont accept firerarms shipments from non ffls. See if Browning will send you a shipping label.

Appreciate the information. I thought this was correct but haven?t paid much attention to shipping firearms the last couple of years.

I had to send mine back for warranty work (Franchi)?I asked for and got a prepaid label and instruction. UPS both ways. They shipped mine back in a reusable shipping box (that made me a bit nervous).

The toughest part is finding a box that fits in.

Can always bring the measurements to a local UPS store. They won't ship, but they do have boxes.

You can also utilize ShipMyGun.com. They use UPS but as long as you have a SMG label, UPS will take it...so far. SMG is also cheaper than going UPS direct...which isn't an option anymore anyway. Don't know how they compare with USPS though. Make sure you insure it in case it gets lost or stolen. But you probably knew that.
