Bay Area Shop to Buy AR Scope?

I am looking for my first scope for my AR and was curious if anyone knows any Bay Area shops that have good deals or fair prices. I was thinkin' a 3-9x40.

Unless you have the need to establish yourself as a customer to a gun shop, why not just buy one online? Who did you buy the AR from?

How far do you want to drive? How much time do you want to invest in shopping? Do you have to look through it before buying?

Scopes are not a gun item that most stores will advertise as on sale. You have a price range of $79-1000+.

You might check out a Big 5 first. Antioch Armory would be a good 2nd choice. Canyon Sports in Martinez if you don't like your money...
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

Here's a list right of the top of my head in no particular order:

      J&R Sports - Livermoore
      Irvington Arms - Fremont
Bay Area Gun Vault - Mountain View
      Bass Pro - Manteca

Thanks domo. I'll have a look there. JnR is a cool place. Can't recall if their prices are reasonable.

I parted the AR together over about 6 months so I don't have a particular store that I am bound to flinch and yes I have looked online but I want to see if I can get something before Wednesday. If I can't find something comparable to online prices locally I'll just wait.

So after my run to J&R and being disappointed with their prices, and blunt attitude, I went online. Decided to go with an Aimpoint M3 instead of a scope. Still need a scope for a 10/22 though.
