The Girsan Regard MC Liberador fosters a distinctly Hispanic charm. This meticulously crafted handgun features a mirror-polished slide, matched with polished gold trim, which together create a visual masterpiece. The engraved pearl grips pay homage to  Santa Muerte, adding an element of cultural significance to this 9mm beauty. With an impressive 18+1

I want Girsan to bring in one of the Beretta 92 clones with the frame safety.

M-14s are obsolete too, but my M1A is fun to shoot.

Any Hi Power with useable sights and ambidextrous safety is better than any Glock in my book. I was issued a .40 Glock and hated it.

Obsolete is what way? Of all the guns I have sold over the years, the sale of my M1A is the only one I pine over.

I have several 40s and yes 40 anything sucks as compared to 9mm or 45acp.

Sorry I must be old school, any Hi-Power other than a Browning I consider like a fake Rolex.

Ah, I see - the latest Tisas, FEG, Charles Daly, FM, Baford... I just don't see anything special brought to the table by yet another clone, that goes above and beyond the original FNs and Brownings, and several other clones.

I even see a few steps backwards with the Girsan.

Reminds me of some of the other Middle East and India based clones, with Turkey not being too far off the map from those. Turkish guns are also widely unpredictable on quality, even guns just a few serial numbers from each other. They can be good, but even some from the same lot can suck hard. Very reluctant to trust Turkish anything.

Pass. Would rather spend just a bit more for a nice Browning/FN by PPT - plenty were made, plenty available.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

What's special is that the Girsan will be on the roster, is affordable and so far, reviews of QC and consistency have been rather good. It's likely need to have the MDM removed to make the trigger acceptable seems to be the only downside.

I'd like the FN or Browning version but either is going to be significantly more money than the Girsan, like 2x to 4x more, and for most of us, a BHP or clone is a fun gun, not an EDC where ultimate reliability is paramount. As far as quality, I think Turkish guns are becoming no different than American guns in that there are manufacturers who are A-list like Canik, then there are generic Turkish brands which are hit or miss.

I can only speak for Girsan made products and shotguns supplied to CZ, but both have been excellent guns for me and the price is amazing. I have a Girsan Regard 92FS more or less clone and a 1911A1. Very nice handguns, reliable, pleasing to the eye, and accurate.

Good to hear from someone living with the products who has real world experience with the brand. I want to get one but I have to get a Ruger MKIV first to save money on shooting up all of my 9mm so I can shoot up my .22 stash so I can afford to get the Girsan.
