Does anyone here even read an OP anymore?

Other than an interfamilial transfer to the parents is there any legal way to sell the guns or transfer them to me for storage?
Why in blue blazes would OP refer his friend's parents to a frick'n auction house? In order for his parents to sell/transfer deceased friends guns to himself?

To sell the guns -OR- transfer them to him FOR STORAGE - (presumably, so they can be sold later to someone else).

The key factors being that OR in the middle, and why would he only want to take them in as storage?

The blue blazes being; he doesn't want to see them end up destroyed if turned into police or a gun buy-back 'book burning' event, and also feels they have viable worth and value that the parents can realize through a legal sale - to anyone.

Several people here have interpreted it that way, which is surely the correct message conveyed in how it's framed between the two proposed separate options queried in that one sentence.

When I die, everyone should know who get's what. Grab and go.
If I die before then, you'll have to fight my wife and daughters for them. Regardless, they're going to good homes and the State aint gonna see a dime off them.

I never saw a percentage in the complaints about being given lowball offers.

But reading the above, if GB takes 20% off the top and LS&B takes 20% off the remainder, that is 36% gone - so the widow gets 64%-?

Lowball to me is less than 50%, but I have no experience selling guns lately.

I'm pretty sure GB doesn't charge 20% (yet), but I know for certain that LSB pays the GB fees out of their own percentage. Seller gets x% of the final bid price, no games.

LSB is a business, why would they pay top dollar in order to sell at the current market value. That kind of business model would put them out of business tomorrow. The estate can try selling each gun themselves and see firsthand how much time, effort and money is spent to well represent each gun.
People who cry lowball obviously have no clue how a business works.

In the past, I've never had a problem selling guns that weren't registered to me. As long as they're not stolen you shouldn't have a problem. Even you (OP) should be able to sell them.

                  I'm sorry for your loss.
