    Silhouette Rifle

looking for some advice. I have set my silhouette rifle up on various configurations and I finally have the rifle the way I like it. But I am wondering about scopes . I have a choice of a leupold silhouette fixed 25 power or a bushnell variable 18 power so I am looking for some input and curious to see how all you guys and girls in the international community have your rifles set up?

A fixed 25x power scope is very disconcerting when you try to shoot it offhand.
I believe that silhouette competition is fired standing offhand.
I would want something that would cover the 3-10x magnification range for standing.

If you search the internet, you can find lists of equipment the top competitors in each field use. I would use that resource as a starting point.

Smallbore silhouette can get pretty high up in magnification.

For High Power silhouette, you'll likely only use a 25x in non-windy conditions. For any other time you have wind affecting your position/hold, you'll be going down to 15x and lower.
