Problem with my first name on DROS paperwork

This has Never happened with Any ,,,,,of my past paperwork on a DROS
    I'm the buyer on a PPT ..

Started the paperwork at Tunners ,, Got everything signed and checked over ... All Good ... I'll be back in 10 days

Then I get a call that they can't go thru with sale because my birth certificate first name has Ronald
[ Don't have the states Approved ID on my D.L , thats why I had to bring B.C.]

Everything I have for I.D. says RON / My drivers license , My CCW card ,
Never has been a problem before , and I have bought a Lot of firearms over the years !!!. Just bought a Glock on a PPT at Ammo Bros 30 days ago....Not a single problem
In fact , I remember doing a PPT at that very store a couple years ago
    No Problems....

They gave me a number to call another higher up manager on Monday

Any thoughts on this problem ??

        Try DMV print out.
In my case the print out had both shorten name and full name.
Listed my P.O. Box and Physical Address, P.O Box on actual license.
Also any AKA names like the wife has her maiden name on it.
Ask Turners if this will be acceptable.

        ?? Passport ??

Similar happen to me when I got my real ID. I tried to buy ammo and I was denied due to my first name being "Gregory" instead of "Greg". Ca laws forced me to buy another gun just so I could buy ammo.

If you don't have a 'Real ID' yet and your DMV issued ID/drivers license matches the name you used on your DROS, it should (will) go through successfully. I know this for a fact.

However, after I got my 'Real ID' which -THE DMV- forces you to have it match your birth certificate, then you must use the name on your birth certificate for the DROS name, to match the 'Real ID.'

If you do not have 'Real ID' and your birth certificate is Ronald instead of Ron on your DMV ID, and Turdners won't run the DROS on the obvious variant of that name that EVERYONE knows is one and the same, this is simply Turdners (yet, once again) applying their own FUD views and being dicks as usual.

The law in your DMV ID matching your birth certificate was not retroactive to previously issued IDs.

If Turdners were to run the DROS, I'm 100% positive it will go through, barring any other reason.

It's Turdner's that decided not to run it.

Lesson learned? Don't use Turdner's for PPTs. (They don't release on undetermined either, also operating outside what the law says, among other nonsensical bullcrap they've pulled over the years.)

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Apply for Real ID on-line at DMV. It's pretty easy. If there is a question asking if you plan to fly. Answer "Yes".

Once you've applied, get an appointment with DMV. Have your required documents in hand when you show up. They will likely have you do the eye test, so if you wear prescription lenses, have them with you.

Applying on-line saves a lot of time.

It's still an enema, but at least the water is warm.

Gov't agencies use multiple databases for verification. Throughout my life I've had periodic issues where my ID could not be verified. Turns out I submitted my original social security application using the short version of my first name (i.e. Ron/Ronald).

A trip to the SS with copy of birth certificate fixed the problem - a new SS card was issued. Smooth sailing since.

                          Update ::

I made a call to Tunner's just after they opened this morning
And asked for the Manager/ Mason
We had a lengthy talk about the problem/ all went well

I looked into the process of getting the ' Real ' I.D.
And a lot of it can be done online , then go in to finalize paperwork

So ..... Manager said he will hold the Ruger pistol in the store till I get the new I D
And take care of the new DROS fee
Now we know it won't be an overnight thing but this will resolve the problem

It works, no questions asked. Nick names are a red flag these days, so much fraud and identity theft. It's worth changing your docs as it avoids problems down the road because you will have problems.

As to so called real ID, that's not needed here nor will it help if you use a nick name again. Use your real name and it won't agree with other docs using the nick name. You will need to change them all.

I use an illegal alien drivers license here in California because it had other advantages like getting out of traffic tickets cause cops know illegals don't pay fines.

I use a real passport for gun related stuff, always works, gun store, federal buildings or airlines.

I believe every citizen of CA should get the illegal alien drivers license. Show America how it's done and let them guess how many illegal aliens we have here.
