From my understanding if 30 days passes and the DOJ does nothing more to delay you from picking up your gun then the gun shop can release your gun to you, the gun shop I purchased the gun at said they would not release it and if I wanted they would send it to another shop that will release it to me. Does this sound right?

No, the other shop will not release it to you under the first dros, they will start a new one. Not all shops will release on undetermined, you have to ask the shop first before you start the dros then its up to you if you want to use that shop. -
Sounds like the first FFL is passing the buck rather than dealing with it.
You’ll likely be on the hook for shipping fees, secondary DROS fee and possibly a transfer fee if they do this.
Ask questions of them for more detail before agreeing to anything.
You may be better off by getting a refund and walking away, taking the loss on the DROS fee to buy somewhere else.Last edited by Oldmandan; 10-01-2023, 7:38 AM."To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them" - Richard Henry Lee
