    Guv'ment shutdown and DROS

Picking up a new blaster on Monday 10/2 that's in gun-jail. If the government shuts down, any idea if that means the DROS 10-day wait can't be done or is that a 100% state run system?

That's a good question. I have two in jail right now.

CA has it's own system and the shutdown is federal.

That is true, but if the shutdown happens that could affect the FBI NICS system.

Looks like the House just passed a 45 day stop-gap CR. It's now up to the Senate to pass it.

FBI NICS may be considered Essential and probably will not shut down
Many many agencies and employees are considered Essential in the federal government including social security

I worked at the Navy base in Norco as an engineer for 35 years and we weren't closed in past shutdowns because our work was considered Essential

I hope that's the case, Dan.

Ive never met any federal employee that I would consider either essential or a worker.

              Active duty military excepted.

My money says you?ve already cleared federal NICS and DOJ. You?re just waiting for the clock on the State System to hit 10, 24-hr timespans.

                  That's my hope.

NICS not affected. ( DROS is state, but not affected either). NICS was not affected in any prior shutdowns, quite sure would not be affected this time either.

Seems clear, due to my concern raised publicly- the politicos raised their game and passed a 6-week reprieve.
