Can't decide beretta, sig, or 1911

I am looking for different thought on which is better both for CC and accuracy here is what I am looking at...

Sig 229 in .40cal
Beretta M9
Springfield LW operator

Any sugestions?

I owned a 229 and it shot like a laser beam.

For CC, the M9 is pretty bulky and huge. Even the 229 would get heavy and tiring after awhile.

P229s are fat/wide. Not sure if they are a good choice for CC. The M9 is a very large pistol wide/tall/long.

The P229 is probably the softest shooting .40 of its size group.

Sig 365 or 365x all day long. I carry the X 15+1 everyday. Both are 100% reliable and accept optics. As for accuracy, we put our 365?s on a rest last week and put 1/4? groups @15 yards. One big ragged hole on a 3? target.

OP, these seem to be odd choices for the intended use. Good choices, but not for CC. They would work in a pinch, but planning to carry a M9 concealed all day everyday would get tiresome. I don't hate it as an option, but if it is the only option, I expect you are going to wish you had a different option.

Probably the easiest to shoot well is going to be the 1911 ~

For cc I would go with polyester style pistols that are lightweight, and require little maintenance ~ I go back to the Glock 19 which is a proven handgun.

Shooting a da/sa pistol is quite a different experience than shooting a sa pistol. How you feel about that will narrow down your choices.

Easier said than done when not in ID. Likely can’t get 15 mags as those came after freedom week anyways.

OP would likely be better served with polymer for CC. But I?d say from the list, P229 in 9mm would be softer shooting allowing you to focus on accuracy and skillset. Plus, ammo is cheaper.

If you go 9mm, find a place that has the M18. I know it's not on your list. It's pretty reasonable to conceal. You might want the Wilson grip. It would be cheaper than the others even with the extra grip module. A local place sill had a couple Saturday afternoon. Price $840 or so OTD with 3 mag's. Easy to mount the dot sight of course if you want to do that.

I have all three. I would not choose any of these for CC.
If those are your only choices, then I would pick the P229 for CC.

OP look at the aluminum frame CZ P-01, Shield 9mm, Glock 19, if you?re still looking at your list - go beretta.

Remember that mags, holsters, parts and whatever else has to also be available to you years down the road.
