Found some old ammo that my dad had stashed... Wonder how long it's been since you could buy a box of .357 for $15!

Dad had a bunch of older boxes I have stored. Remember one box of 22LR was 97 cents.

Bought a mossberg 500 combo for $150 at Kmart in early 90's Came with 18 and 26" barrels in black plastic. Shot thousands of rounds through it. Use to show up at the skeet range /swap out the 18" for the 26 and get to blasting.

Still have it, had to replace the extractors ...its about it.

I remember when Kmart existed and that was a long time ago, when Home Base, Service Merchandise, Radio Shack, Circuit City all thriving together.

Probably in 1995, I was at a range with my dad in San Diego. I believe 7.62x39 was .97 cents a box and they were selling Russian SKSs for a hundred bucks?

My buddy and I split a crate, 2 1000 round spam cans, for $120-ish at Traders in San Leandro.

Doubt it was really non-corrosive though.

Del Mar Gun Show in the 80's I bought 1600 round cases of Norinco 223 for $160. WWB 124GR Ball was $160 for a case.

My first 500 brick of Federal 22LR was $5 in 1975 at FedMart. I think Turner still had Blazer bricks on sale for $9 until 2005.
20 years ago you could still buy non corrosive steel cased 5.56x45 and 7.62x39 for 10 cents a round.

Early 90s I remember seeing WWB 5.56 at Del Mar for 220 a case. I recall wondering ?who would pay that much for 5.56??

Anyone remember that Chinese white box ammo - I shot some of those in my 308.

Still have mine, bought from Big 5 more than 20 years ago. Not sure if the price was about the same or not but I remember I think I took it home the same day and my friend said that was a great deal. The guide screw came loose one year and jammed up the entire gun during an outing with friends. Ordered another one, locktited it and no problems ever since.
