    Travis AFB Shooting Range?

    Hey All,

My dad is retired Navy and he goes to the Travis AFB PX every now and then and he was wondering if there is a base range open to retirees and civilians?

    Anyone know?

Negative. I was on active duty at Travis from '04-'07 and there is no pistol/rifle range open for recreational use. There is a 25yd range on the north end of the flightline, but that is for Security Forces training and for M16 and M9 qualification. There used to be a trap range near the Aero Club (west of the hospital), I don't know if it still open.
