Looking for Sacramento area gunsmith?

I am looking for a skilled gunsmith in the area that can weld up holes in an AK receiver and also cut and thread a barrel, amount other things.

If I was still in SoCal, I would go to Randall, but unfortunately he is too far away.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I have had good luck with Maraviov's Gunsmithing in Woodland. He has done some nice 1911 triggers for me and bedded an XP-100 in a fiberglass stock that turned out great. Maybe give him a call.

I have also shipped stuff to Randall (from here in Sac) to have threaded and timed and that was great as well.

Maraviov or Randall are the two I have used both did a great job. Next time I have something I want to take it to rubicon Precision they seem like they turn out quality work. I tried other gunsmiths that are on this forum and I was not very happy it was a waste of my time driving to the guy and I got charged from him he said it was a holding fee!

I do barrel work through the mail but you can not ship me a serialized receiver or an unserialized firearm that's supposed to be serialized.

I only do work on firearms by in-person shop visit and I do it the same day since I can't keep it overnight.

Ok, I guess I will have to figure out when I can come down. I can't find anyone in this area willing to work on it.

Genecco gun works in Stockton. Good reviews but usually back logged 3 months or even longer.
