    30 days rule

New to the gun world and TIA for your answers and suggestions. My last handgun purchase was on 6/28 at around 11am. I was told I should wait till 7/29 to purchase my next gun/rifle by one gun shop owner but another store said I am fine by doing it on 7/28. Any idea who is right? Thanks

    Per CA laws...
    1. It is thirty 24 hour time periods.
    2. Clock starts when the DROS is submitted.

Look at the last 'pick-up time' on your current DROS if it's a dealer inventory or out-of-state incoming tranfer on a handgun or semi-auto centerfire rifle.

Any time after that, is fine to DROS another a dealer inventory or out-of-state incoming tranfer on a handgun or semi-auto centerfire rifle. It even automtically takes into account the time-changes spring and fall.

Private Party purchases of the above are exempt from the 1-per-30 day Anti-2nd Amendment legislation, except in certain cities like Los Angeles that have their own civil-rights infringing ordinances that limit ALL handgun purchases to 1-per-30 day.

But since there are only a couple of gun stores left within LA City limits, with the only sizable one of note being Turners, Reseda - the most lousy location in their chain - you're best off not buying any guns within the city of LA, especially with its higher sales tax than many other areas.

If you really are that much of a masochist to custom Turners, there are plenty of other locations other than Reseda, where the FUD and incompetence is at east a tad more tolerable.

Good luck, and welcome to Calguns.
