Hopefully its more accessible than BPS. Its a b*tch and a half to get there off the I-15 and just as hard to get back on after.
    Dear California,
I love you. I was born and raised in you. You have given me some of the best times of my life. Now with that said, I can not wait to move!

Went in about a year ago. I happened to be in the area, and I wanted to check the place out. I spent some time browsing, and then asked the guy (heavy set Hispanic? Been a long time) behind the counter to see a couple of the AR scope mounts that were under the glass at the other end of the counter. He said "we don't have any". I said "yes you do". He said "no we don't". I walked to the area where the mounts were located and asked him to come over, he did. I pointed the mounts out to him and aked "what are those?" Response: "oh". And he walked away. WTF is that all about? Another employee came out from the back and was more helpful. He actually asked if I wanted the mount. I did, but only because nobody else had them, and hunting season was ready to start, otherwise I'd have told the first guy what he can do with his attitude. I will give the guys in Ontario a fair shake, I've been in the store a couple times already to browse and I've bought ammo and told others to keep them in mind. I doubt I'll set foot in the Cerritos store again. And a quick reply to the guy complaining about BPS being a PITA to get to and from - 1) you must not be doing it right, and 2) Ammo Bros 'aint any easier.

        Really? Please elaborate.
Took my AR to have some gunsmith work done on Barrel Pressure issues and case not properly extracting. This was four weeks ago, and they still haven't gotten around to it. I know about their new location so maybe they've been busy. I'm not in a rush to get it back as I have 4 other AR's in my safe. Besides, I'm still loyal to them for sticking their necks out when very few FFL's would deal in the OLL movement a couple years back.

So you are laying into a gun store in California (which we all want to have more of, not less of) all because of one employee and on one single visit?

You have post negative remarks more than once to this thread about how bad Ammo Bros. is yet you gave them one try A YEAR AGO and had a guy who may not even work there any longer give you a bad attitude and now you think you need to post bad things to encourage others to not go there?

That doesn't seem hardly fair now does it folks? I can be most business' out there have had or have their share of employees problems or bad hires. You try to hire the best you can afford but sometimes you get a bad one. After a year that person may have already been weeded out for all jaymz knows.

We have all had bad days where lots of things are going on in our personal life and perhaps we are not the best at our job or maybe we take it out on the wrong people. Is it possible this guy was having a bad day? Yeah it is.

But to repeat bad feedback on a gun store for a one time visit that happened a year ago is not right and certainly not fair. JMHO.

Have you even read this thread? I didn't "lay into " anyone. I said that IF the service is the same, that they won't put anyone out of business. (Why don't you chew out the poster that said Ammo Bros will put BPS out of business, according to you, we need all the gun stores we can get.) Secondly, I did not post negative remarks more than once. I stated that I had one bad experience. I also said not to rush down to the Ontario store to browse just yet (they don't have ANY guns) - how is that negative. I also said that I bought a bunch of ammo and that it was cheaper than Turner's - how the hell is that negative? Third, I NEVER encourages anyone not to go. If someone wants to take my one opinion, (when it is clearly the minority opinion) and take it for gospel, that person probably shouldn't be shopping in a gun store anyway. And fourth of all -wait a minute...................you're the guy - aren't you?

            Have a good night.

I am way pro gun shop, but I see nothing wrong with the poster sharing his experience. After reading such a horror story of customer service, I reflect on how my one employee is so darn good at greeting every single customer when they walk through the door. She is consistent every time, "How are you doing today?" It doesn't matter what she is doing or who she is helping, she acknowledges the guy that comes through the door. Then the next thing is "What can we do for you today?" or "We will be with you in just a minute."

It really is amazing that people don't get that simple point about people who come into the shop. And maybe we have it easy because I can greet anyone in my hole in the wall from anywhere with no problems. Still, owners need to know what is important to people. Customer service is critical for a retail location. Period.

Should everyone avoid Ammo Bros because of this? I would say not. Go give them a try for yourself. However, the man's post was a valid compliant and hopefully the Ammo Bros guys read this thread and make sure they address it in house.

I read these threads and that is why my employees are on their J O B S.

Thanks Wes. I really don't have any hard feelings towards Ammo Bros. I know I said I'll probably never set foot in the Cerritos store again, but I should clarify that it mostly due to the same reason that it's unlikely that I'll not set foot in your store, just too far away from home. But if I'm ever in the area........
BTW, if anyone cares, I did buy some scope rings from 10% a little over a year ago, and his prices are good and it got to my house sooner than expected.

Stopped by the Ontario store at lunch. It is only 3 or so miles from my work. They had quantities of most ammo (45 Win Mag, 40 corbon, 357 sig and normal loadings). Asked if they had any Costa Mesa Show specials. Said they were not sure of pricing untill they see what other vendors are doing.

I have been in both stores Cerritos and Ontario quite a few times. And I am not a personal friend of the owner or any employee. And I have received great service every time I have been to the stores. That's just my two cents worth.

I have yet to have a problem with anyone at the Ontario location. Their customer service is EXCELLENT.

I have not heard much about the Cerritos location, but the little I have heard is good.
