    Traveling & locking a Pelican V100 case

Going to be traveling on a flight later this year and taking a handgun with me. I plan on securing the handgun in my Pelican V100 case. I have two Master 175D locks that are not long enough to lock through the holes in the Pelican V100. I tried searching the Internet, but not finding much help. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Type of case that will be used.

Measure how long a shank you need. And go to home depot. They have a big selection of Master padlocks..
I prefer the locks with the combination on the bottom.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

I always put a Red Cross Blood Samples, or a Nikon Camera Lenses sticker on any case
that screams, 'I have a gun in here...I have a gun in here!' Please steel me.

You think labeling it, "Nikon Camera Lenses" is going to make it less attractive to a thief? Really?

Master makes a metric crap ton of locks and plenty have longer shackles. Here's one (below). Or take the case into Home Depot with you and find one that fits.

No one really knows what goes thru the minds of your average street creep thief, ASCT.

However, I dare say from the point of view from a crack-head, a Glock 9mm pistol stolen from airport
luggage will buy more street drugs verses a hot Nikon AF-S VR 105mm f/2.8G IF ED camera lenses.

In this case it is the baggage handlers.

Over the last few years there have been MANY posts here about traveling with a fire arm. I think I have posted many of them. You have questions? What airline are you using?

Flying Southwest as it is one of the only direct routes for where I am going. All others would have a layover, which I am want to avoid.

Alaska Airlines is my preference. They do not even blink at "I'm traveling with a firearm" Check them out.

Baggage handlers for WYZ Airlines can be trusted not steel your stuff? Rodger that.
Are these the same real estate dudes selling beach front property in South Dakota?
