New to the area and checkign ammo $$

I've only been in the area a little while, and I'd appreciate any info I can get regarding avg. pricing / availablility of 9mm and .45 ammo in / around San Jose

The Wal-Marts in Milpitas and Mountain View are your best bets for cheap ammo, unfortunately you're going to have a rough time finding any in stock. The other SJ Wal-Marts do not carry ammunition.

9mm has been available recently, but 45acp is still hit and miss at Walmart. Call everyday and go right then if its available. thats your best bet. unless you want to pay $45-50 for a WWB 100pk in the classified ads for a $30 box of ammo.
