    G27 to G26 conversion

Gen3 are dirt cheap at 499 these days. Being Gen3, they are reliable but less the features from Gen4 and 5 at the off roster price of 3x of Gen3.

So thinking to get a G27 Gen3 and my question is, is there a 9mm conversion kit from Glock oem for this? and would this be just as reliable to shoot 9mm for conceal carry, or best to just buy a g26 instead and not question the reliability.

It is nice to have a option to shoot 40cal but i would mostly shoot 9mm at the range and carry 9mm as a carry.

For carry, stick to factory 9mm. Note some IAs only let you list it as caliber on DROS.

Glock does not make/sell conversion kits.

Glock caliber conversions are generally done via aftermarket vendors.

The Glock 26 and 27 utilize the same frame.

If wanting to stay with OEM parts...
      1. Remove the complete Glock 27 barrel/slide assembly and replace it with a complete Glock 26 barrel/slide assembly.
      2. Use Glock 9x19mm magazines while utilizing the Glock 26 barrel/slide assembly.
      3. Replace the .40 ejector on the Glock 27 frame with a 9mm ejector.

A complete Glock Gen 3 OEM barrel/slide assembly may end up costing a few hundred dollars less than a complete Gen 3 pistol.

Some CA issuing agencies will not approve caliber conversions for pistols listed on the CA CCW permits they issue.
Some CA issuing agencies will not approve a pistol that does not match its AFS listing (caliber does not match what is in AFS).
