    Long range shooting areas???

    Hi everyone
I?m looking to get into longer range shooting and being in the Riverside area most everything is short range ranges? obviously blm areas in the high desert or Pala seem to be the only close option. I am non military so going to Camp Pendleton range is out unless anyone on here is ok with me being their civilian guest??? If so please text or pm me. 951-283-2705
But does anyone know of any other areas or ranges that we can long range shoot? Like I said it seems like everything local is 100 yards. Would love to find a place to shoot 500 to 1000

      Yeah I’ll have to check
Pala out… from their website it looks
Like they are only open Friday and mondays only. Anyone know if civilians are ok on Pendleton or do you have to be with someone ex military?
      Any other areas??

Camp Pendleton allows civilians registered to shoot matches/practice/training scheduled by Santa Margarita Gun Club. But it’s a required to get a visitor pass before the event.

Desert Marksmen in Palmdale goes out to 600. They follow the July to June fiscal cycle for annual memberships. So it is a good time to join up as they process new memberships right after the renewals are processed (although you can join up in the middle of the cycle).

WEGC only goes out to 300.

Both of the above ranges are 24/7/365, however access to the firing lines are subject to any events on the ranges.

Pala is open on most weekends as well, sometimes they host the cowboy type shoots, and sometimes other special events, but those are not very often. Check their calendar. Tuesday thru Thursday is usually organized training.

Pala Range. Get there at least 30 minutes before opening. Leave your guns in the car, but set up your other stuff at a good bench. (In other words, claim a bench early because it sells out.)

The range is about 1000 yds from the casino.
