So if a dealer will release a firearm under "Undetermined" status.
Can you still buy ammunition In CA?

Firearms background check = $31.19 fee = up to 10 days to check CA and Federal records to determine if the transferee is a non-prohibited person and can be legally transferred a firearm.

Standard ammo check = $1.00 fee = "instant" check of AFS to determine if the transferee has a firearm registered to them.

COE ammo check = $1.00 fee = "instant" check of CA records to verify if the transferee has a valid COE.

Basic ammo check = $19.00 fee = up to 30 days to check CA and Federal records to determine if the transferee is a non-prohibited person.

When you get a release on undetermined your name goes into the ammo check database so if you didn't have a firearm in your name snd couldn't get ammo before
