Need help: Searching FFL Firearm Storage NorCal

    Hi,

I've called quite a few FFLs near me (San Jose Area) and none of them offer long term storage. I'm looking for a reputable FFL to help me with long term storage for a few years. Anyone have a recommendation? Any idea what this should cost?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Transfer to family and forget about it for coiple years. Very pricey to store. You cannot just leave with anyone. Not for years anywhere in USA. Lots of posts on this. Does not matter if locked in safe only you have access to.

Part of the challenge is i have some registered bullet button ARs so those wouldn't be able to be transferred to anyone or even back to me.

An you would need a FFL with a AW permit to store them.

The problem is that is not going to happen Because VARY few FFL's have them that are open to public.

            For most of them.

For the AW's you would need to strip all the parts and sell them off and turn the SN# frame / receiver over to LE.

It is not legal to offer for sale a AW from inside CA borders

Cover in grease, vacuum seal in plastic, put in a sealed pvc pipe, and bury in the woods?

De register aws or take out of state and sell. Separate upper and lowers for now.

You could but it is not going to happen in the time frame needed. De registering takes over a year.

You could but it's a PITA and most items are not worth much in FREE States an even less when the dealers see your CA ID because they know why you are there and that you can't take them home

An this dose not help as the SN# is still a registered AW.
