Ave charge of an FFL transfer

Hi all, just want to get an idea of what the range of FFL transfers usually cost. I've been looking online at used guns and just need to factor in FFL costs to budget accordingly. Thanks!

In San Diego the cheapest I know of is $35 plus DROS. So $60 total.

Yes, the state DROS fees are $25. Anything above that is a dealer fee. A dealer can charge you a $10 PPT fee for doing a "Private Party Transfer" in which both parties are CA-residents who both go to the dealer to do the paperwork. Any other type of transfer, the dealer may charge any fee he wishes to do the transfer.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Yes see this post above. A PPT is when both parties are present at the FFL in which the maximum fee is $35 ($10 to the dealer $25 to the state for DROS)

There is no legal price limit for out of state transfers.
