I dunno. Is that any different than them selling the sealed magwell Bushmaster Carbon-15s and not selling any other fixed-mag type OLLs.

I personally don't like Turners. I always had bad experiences with them.
Instead of trying to help me, they would lecture me and basically do so in a lowering manner.
They also freaked out when I went there before I was 21 and I told them I got a handgun as a gift. I almost thought the guy was going to call the cops because of his reaction. Even though I explained to him my dad is holding until he can transfer it to me at the time, he pretty much treated me like I was a felon until I left the store and just went to Stockade.

Maybe they are relaxing a bit because I wouldn't think they would sell something like that there from my experiences.

Keep in mind that that Umarex (Colt just licensed their name for this gun) is an Airsoft company. This rifle is basically about as much a Colt AR-15 as a GSG-5 is an HK MP5.

According to many things I've read, it will NOT accept 223 uppers, although salesmen at Turners will claim it will. Other bits (furniture, etc) may or may not interchange, depending on what it is.

Remember, Turners was selling the Armscor 22LR rifles styled after the M-16 and AK-47 too. It just looks like they've replaced those guns with a better product.

I've handled the Umarex's and they don't look horrible for 22's... just don't buy one thinking it's one upper away from being a normal AR.

I have no interest at all in buying this item, again my first thought was did the new ownership have a change of heart.

Are they actually going to try to expand their revenue base by delving into the AR market?

I was at the Signal Hill Turner's a couple weeks ago talking to one of the guys whose been there for many years. I asked him if they were gonna be more OLL friendly under the new ownership. He seemed pretty sure the new owners were not interested in touching OLLs at all.
