Utah CCW came in today.

Well it finally came in. Wish it was honored in Nevada, just a little too late.

Here's the timeline:

3/25 Sent application. (Priority)
3/27 Received @ Bureau.
4/27 Credit Card charged.
7/29 Received.


Long wait, but happy it's finally here. Time to take a class and apply for Nevada.

I know what you mean. I got my Florida about 3 months ago and last week I just went to Nv to get that one. I'm not liking to carry all these cards around my wallet. I wish it was just one, good for all states.

The cost for the class is $75.00 and includes qualifying with one gun. Each additional gun you want listed on your permit costs $25.00 and includes ammunition.

You must qualify with each semi-automatic you want on your permit, however, if you want a revolver on your permit then you only qualify with one revolver of any type and that qualifies you for any revolver you want to carry.

Class is eight hour long (Nine hours with lunch break)! Instructors are husband and wife team. He is Clark County LEO and they are both NRA certified instructors.

Both are very professional and knowledgable. The class is offered Wednesday and Saturday. I took the Saturday class. At the end of the class they will give you a certificate with signature on it and ccw application.

You will have to stay over and go to LVMPD (Las Vegas Police Dept.) between hours of 8-3 weekdays. They are not open for ccw processing on weekends.

There you will pay fee of $100.25 payable by money order only. (Buy it before you go to Las Vegas at Wal-Mart or 7-11)! Turn in application, get fingerprinted, mug shot (Picture for ccw).

Great class taught by great people. The class also qualifies you for Florida/Utah ccw. They are certified for all three states and will not charge you extra if you want application for those permits.

My pleasure! I was going to mention that it is really hot in Las Vegas this time of year, however, I noticed that Sig357 is from Indio so I would be "Preaching to the choir on that one"! LOL

Oh a few more things about The Gun Store! They have class III machine guns for rent and a great indoor range with air conditioning! I rented an HKMP5 and a Tommy Gun! They even have a SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon)! I did not fire it but someone else did and I got to watch them shoot! WOW!

I felt like Al Capone with the Tommy Gun! LOL

If you have never fired a machine gun I would highly recommend it as it is great fun! You even get to choose the type of silloete for target. I chose the Osama Bin Laden target.

That one seems to be very popular for obvious reasons!

Congrats, got mine at the Cabelas in Lehi, UT. $40 for a 6 hour course and dropped off the application at the local BCI. Got in a month.

Been waiting for my UTAH CCW for over two months now. hopefully, it'll come soon. that sucks about not being reciprocated by Nevada though. I guess i have another class to take...
