    Save Coyote Valley Sporting Clays

Hi All, here's an email CVSC has sent out regarding a public survey to plan for land usage around the facility:

Coyote Valley Sporting Clays for over 30 years has been an integral community partner and family owned business in the Coyote Valley region for tens of thousands of diverse visitors who enjoy the outdoors and the unique qualities of our range.

In 2025, our lease will expire and we are hoping it will be renewed for the long term before its expiration.

As you may know, the land we lease was purchased by local government in 2020. The Santa Clara Valley Outdoor Space Authority, as the lead agency, has launched an online public survey that asks the public to comment on the future of Coyote Valley. Many outdoor pursuits were mentioned, but our sporting clay course and target sports we provide were excluded, which is very concerning.

Take the short survey now and share this with anyone that can help secure the future existence of Coyote Valley Sporting Clays.

Be sure to directly mention our range by name, "Coyote Valley Sporting Clays" in the "Other" text box options of the survey. Share your experiences, years of enjoyment, family moments and include why the range is important to you, your friends, family, and/or organizations you may be associated with.

CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE SURVEY AND HELP SAVE CVSC

Please watch for our future emails with important updates about this issue. A generous amount of public input on our behalf may be needed to ensure our business and its patrons are included in the future of the Coyote Valley region. Thank you for your support!

      I got one too.

I was a land use entitlement guy for over three decades in that county. I have dealt with all of the public agencies that have fingers in the land use/entitlement game. None of them are interested in anything even remotely supportive of 2A activities.

I filled in the survey as we use the sporting clays course often. Unless that land use is supported by a huge majority of residents they will likely move onto to more politically friendly passive types of uses.

That county is very anti CCW, 2A and anything not politically correct. I do hope I am wrong.

As as you may have guessed, this is by design, and not an "accidental oversight". Years ago, the leftists parks idiots went on a campaign to get rid of the Chabot Gun Club in the East Bay, and did so, even against overwhelming support from club members and shooters from around the Bay Area.

My wife, son and I used to travel down to Morgan Hill and shoot at CV Sporting Clays many times before moving to Texas 6 years ago. We still look back fondly at the experience. Hope you folks prevail, best of luck.

Filled out the survey. Hope this does not end in same fate as Chabot.

I'll fill one out for sure. I'll try to get others to as well- but this sure does smell a lot like Chabot all over again.

Coyote valley sporting clays isn’t even listed on the form. Very telling what the libtard county is planning. They want us out!

Completed form. I hope they get the lease renewed. It is a wonderful place.

Given the content of the survey it is my guess that SCC would love nothing more than to turn Coyote Valley into something more like Napa (i.e. agricultural tourism).

I filled it out as if I still "self-identified" as a Californian ... it would be a shame to lose this venue, I spent many many enjoyable hours shooting clays there.

Like I said in the other thread on this: Its never a good sign when the range isn't even acknowledged in their "survey". It gives one the impression we're not welcome in the county's plans for the land.
Methinks we'll lose another range like we did at Chabot due to bureaucrats who want nothing to do with gun ranges forcing them off the property.
