Non-Resident CCW.

It occured to me that some of us may not be sure of all the details regarding the many non-resident ccw out there. I currently have five and I am waiting for the arrival of my sixth.

As I have gone through the process of getting them all I thought I could share my experiences of what is required to get each and what benefits there are for having one or more non-resident ccw. (Besides the obvious of being able to carry)!

Since there is so much information and each ccw requires different applications, etc. If anyone has a question about obtaining one or more I would be happy to share the knowledge I have gained by getting all of them.

Start with either Utah or Florida would be my advice.

I have a Maine CCW, it was one I could get via mail order, without classes, under 21.

I was also planning on going to Maine, but that got cancelled. I am going for my Nevada & Utah next year.

All I have is California but I think that I'm going to get a Florida non-resident.

Sam... I am guessing that is a joke as Alaska and Vermont do not require a ccw to carry. As long as you can legally posses a firearm then you may carry it concealed.

1923 Mack... If you want to know specifics about a particular ccw I will be happy to share that info. It would take me five or six pages to detail every one seperately! As far as which ones I have. Florida, Utah, Maine, Conneticut, New Hampshire, and I just completed training and submitted paperwork last weekend for Nevada. I should have that one soon! Benefits of having them all include being able to carry in thirty four states. Unfortunately, Kali not one of them!

I am also looking into getting Massachustes and Rhode Island ccw as I am planning a trip there for next summer. I found a local instructor certified to train for each of these states.

Jake, I also have CCW's for Cal, Nv, and FL. I do travel to Wa sometimes and would like to get Or. I've heard that one can go to say Klamath Falls and apply for out of state CCW. as long as your home state boarders Or. True? and do you have one? If so what were the procedures?
