The major changes are a new question regarding privately made firearms, a weird question as to whether you Reside in City Limits? And two questions essentially getting at straw purchases?

21.b: Do you intend to purchase or acquire any firearm listed on this form and any continuation sheet(s) or ammunition, for sale of other disposition to any person described in questions 21(c)-(m) or to a person described in question 21.n.1 who does not fall within a nonimmigrant exception?

21.c.: Do you intend to sell or otherwise dispose of any firearm listed on this form and any continuation sheet(s) or ammunition in furtherance of any felony or other offense punishable by imprisonment for a term of more than one year, a Federal crime of terrorism, or a drug trafficking offense?

The full set of changes is in the link above. The guy at my LGS said this was as close to the line of UBC as the current administration can get without congress passing new laws. YMMV.

Yeah, 21.c is a bit of an IQ test. Do you intend to commit a felony, terrorism, or a drug trafficking offense?

Also these two new questions are the only place the word ammunition appears on the entire form including the instructions...

I just filled out one of these new forms the other day. I wondered how they define: Reside in City Limits? Doesn't your address confirm if you live in the city or not? What are they looking for with that question?

Your postal address May list of City as part of the address. You may live in an unincorporated area that is not part of that city, but uses that city's name as your place of residence.

But how does one answer that? As the above states, I LIVE in a city, but it is in the un-incorporated part that is LA County. We get zero support from City, only County. So am i a city resident?

I have the same questions. Where I live I have a city name, but its not a city. No local government, no city hall, no city public works, etc. We are in unincorporated LA County. I didn't realize I have to be an expert on city and county boundry lines now. I believe one of the check boxes is "unknown" or along those lines. I will simply always check that box...why possabley get it wrong with a yes or no?

This sums it up. Willing to bet nobody is out there verifying the 'right' answer on city so long as you give them something regardless, incorporated or unincoporated, because it's not going to synchronize with the State/DROS form anyway, nor ever be cross referenced even if they could.

Yep I started filling them out in late February. Only thing I recall is leaving the last two boxes blank. Everything else is rather self explanatory.

Why would not living in city limits be grounds for denial? It seems like a demographics question so some cities (like say, San Jose) can mail you a letter reminding you they know you have a gun and you have to have liability insurance.

The more trick questions they ask you, the more likely they get you on a felony (falsifying a form to a licensee) and take your rights away.

I bet 50% of 18yr olds who live in unincorporated areas of their "city" don't know it.

The California forms haven?t changed so nobody from
The government is seeing the 4473 form right away. My understanding is these are only reviewed by ATF during an audit: when issues with someone arise or when you FFL goes out of business.

It would seem through that eventually the ATF is going attempt to charge more people federally for gun purchase perjury crimes.
