LA County FFL Recommendations

Hello All,

I'm going to be doing my 1st PPT transfer soon and would like to use an actual gun store for the FFL process. The seller in coming in town from the Bay Area and while he's here we are going to do the transfer. I live in the Culver City area, but aren't sure what part of town they'll be staying in when they arrive. Curious if anyone has any favorite shops they'd recommend around town. I don't mind traveling to the valley, DTLA, or South if needed. Anywhere in the general LA county area is good for me if it means confidence and peace of mind.

Last I heard, Retting will only do PPT's if there are fewer customers in the establishment than there are counter workers behind the counters.
When it gets close to 1:1, employees start disappearing from behind counters for "breaks" so that the dreaded condition of fewer customers than employees behind counters can not happen.
I tried multiple times to do a PPT there and then went somewhere else like they wanted.

LAC is almost 4,100 sq miles. There are probably dozens and dozens of FFL's.

Probably need to narrow it down a bit.

Doubt there are many FFL's in CBD LA.

Here are some neighborhoods & known FFL's. I know I'm leaving out a bunch.
WLA/Westside - Martin Retting in Culver City
South Bay - Turners in Torrance and Long Beach/Single Hill, Cap Tactical in Lawndale
San Fernando/San Gabriel valleys - Turners in Reseda, Pasadena, West Covina, Oak Tree in Newhall, Addax in San Fernando, numerous FFL's in Glendale & Burbank
Gateway - Ammo Bros in Cerritos

This is my LGS they used to be fairly decent back in the day, unfortunately they've really gone downhill. Last I tried to PPT there they said I could make an appointment in a few weeks was the earliest. Place is a joke.

While I typically agree...and I hate all their extra paperwork and what no, but they have been the one place, at any of there stores, where you can walk in, any day, any time, and do a PPT without extra fees, hassle, or being turned away. Don't have to call ahead, doesn't have to be a special day, etc. I've always gotten it done there. Just don't expect a 25-20 minute deal and your good.

Look for shops in Burbank. RTBA and Guns Direct are both good to go
