Hey all, looking to see where the fellow calgunners are shooting. I live in Vacaville, typically go to Yolo.

Hoping to find a range, private land, BLM, whatever, where I can do more legit training and less ?2 seconds between shots? bs. Nevada is a 3 hour drive each way so while its great, its tough to get to frequently.

Guns, Fishing and Other Stuff, Dublin - I started to frequent over Reeds about two years ago due to it's location to me. They do allow double taps, as called out on previous posts. Their range rules, will state double taps + 3 shots between shots, but I've done about a sec between double taps. Use good judgement, common sense and I doubt you will have issues. It is indoors, but they do allow rifles/AR's. Fair warning though, because of Cali's insane AW rules, most rifles shooters bring in are probably braked.

Livermore Rod and Gun - I had a bad experience here back in 2017 after Chabot range closed. There was a shooter in the lane next to me and fired off a shot after a cease fire was called. The RSO's blamed me and my party for it. The tool next to us didn't take accountability for it. Never went back until after the pandemic. Post pandemic, I visited a couple of times and was a much more better experience. The RSO's took a more friendlier approach and stopped talking to people like children. They became more educational and engaging. I would certainly give them a shot. Livermore is an outdoor range, 100 yards max on the rifle line.

See whatever youd like, I see the same RSO at Yolo talked about over and over and over across a couple forums and its the same issue. I doubt we are all on forums as inexperienced college kid shooters doing stupid stuff at the range, but think what you will.

Ill just put it this way, the guy tells women to shoot sub compacts and snub noses, with **** grip forms at that. Hes still winning World Wars with a 1911.

Foresthill, the rock quarry or chicken hawk drive out till you see the shooting areas with a beautiful view also. The rock quarry being great for setting out multiple targets for shooting on the move
