I like add a 1911 to my firearm collection to have and shoot. I have narrowed it down to the Springfield MC operator. I do prefer the old school heavy 1911 with forge metal everywhere.
Are these discontinued as I'm a bit confused looking at Springfield website. In one section it says MC Operator is discontinued and then in another section the CA compliant MC Operator doesn't say discontinued.
If it's discontinued, I guess all I can do is buy used but any disadvantage buying a discontinued firearm? Do I need to worry about long term parts replacements out of stock?
