Assault weapon or Roster? If you could toss one...

Which and why? For no particular reason other than a sunny Monday afternoon.

        Agreed!

Along with the AW and Roster BS going away, I'd like to see the ammo BG check and ordering/delivery to my door law go away.

Assault, my Tavor wants to be 26". My pistol hates the mag lock, my rifles all want 30+ rounds in them. I don't like the fin grips. My AK wants a folding stock. I might get a p90 clone that doesn't look idiotic.

I think I would personally enjoy the roster disappearing, but I feel that the AW ban is more of an infringement of 2A.

I think the same argument the Judge used about LEO widely using guns that do not appear on the Roster, could be said about the features configuration of AR15s that LEO have in each of their squad cars in most all cities in CA.

What's the justification that they are allowed that configuration and a law-abiding non-LEO is not?

They are not 'military' any more than a banker or construction worker may be.

So neither one over the other: both the Roster and the SB23 features ban, .50BMG ban, and idiotic Bullet Button ban, could fall by the same arguments about 'features' (or caliber) being the target, where one configuration exists for LEO and another exists for John Doe, without any justification.

I've made this argument before, that there is no LEO or military anywhere, using any firearms with 'bullet buttons' so those should never have been defined as 'Assault Weapons' on that basis alone, let alone requiring no pistol-grips/grip-wraps, no flash-hider, fixed-mag, or other such nonsense.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

I'm a 100% Fudd whose interests ends with the end of the cold war, so AW affects me more as far as collecting stuff I like. They both need to go though.

                    No compromise!
The roster, AW ban, and the mag ban are all unconstitutional, and it is time for them to go away.
Then we can turn attention to all of the other unconstitutional firearms restrictions.
