The old investing saying "be fearful when others are greedy, be greedy when others are fearful" I saw aim surplus was offering C&R Sig p210 just couple months ago for over $3k, they dropped price a bit and now sold out, so clever collectors are out there bottom feed. Wish I had that kind of money for p210.

Tax returns have dropped or diminished, incomes are reduced and money doesn’t go as far as it should. Speculators taking a hit, most definitely.

            Fairly priced guns always sell.
The problem with this statement is every dick and harry wants to make money and will sit n wait for that buyer. You keep seeing the same old bumps right?

A friend of mine had the same observation. You are 100% correct.

Rare guns and firearms with rare options and finishes will always be Desirable to a smaller group of collectors with deeper pockets than most. They will sell to the right person which is probably not the normal Calguns member trying to scratch moneys together to buy there first Glock .
Investment grade firearms will always hold there worth and have buyers....But there are exceptions! A gun that’s is ridiculous in marketplace now a factory nickel series 70 with ivory that wants $7,000 for it . Last I checked you could get a factory engraved ,similar vintage with similar stocks or a wartime gun with provenance for less money .Gun in my opinion is listed for over double what it should be ..
To throw myself in the ringer as well I have two nicer grade firearms for sale right now .A mint Walter TPH west German in the box and A S&w 686 PC prelock hunter with Factory engraving 1 of 50 made . The last time one sold was 2014 at auction for $3,250 w/o the box .mines listing for only a few hundred more and willing to take offers.Same as the TPH 2 months ago one sold for over my listing of $2,300 . No gouging there just firearms that have been realized for the amount asking for sale in proven auction houses and Gunbroker, not pulling a number out of my back side.

You?re asking big bucks for your collectibles. Least you can do is post pictures. Bet the ones on GB didn?t sell without pictures or require interested buyers to message sellers for pics

Economy is in the dumper. Sales are everywhere now, in every industry. It?s going to get worse before it gets better.

I don?t understand not posting photos of an item for sale. It helps immensely with a sale. I can see not posting for primers or something.

I just sold four in the past month. Prices were reasonable but far from top dollar. I wasted a week seeing if I could get top dollar and absolutely no takers. Two of the four were guns I bought less than a year ago and I lost probably 10% of what I paid on each. I do hate taking good pics so I doubt I help my case. Id equate my prices to selling a used Gen 3 Glock for like $425-450.

                          Import marked?

I have serial number 278XXX in .22LR which places manufacture date around 1975/1976 - (with no import mark/not Interams marked), blued, with its original box, and 2 mags. As you can guess, it falls within the serial number range of the suspected CIA guns, and in kind, like those - no import mark.

If yours is Made in Germany, no import mark/not Interarms marked - may be interested.

People need money more than guns right now, the market is different. It's a buyers market, groceries and gas have become more important. What's the point of having bitchen guns when your hungry and can't get to work.

I totally agree ^^ if I was wanting to move my stuff timely I should post pics ( I’m terrible at doing it) But I could always get some help and pay a fellow calgunner to throw some pics up in a bump and trade some ammo /and or mags.I’m in no rush to sell but your totally right in getting my post more glossy...If your selling especially with something nicer grade Pics help 100%

The Gleam I will have to get back on that one with you
