What are some good 22LR handgun options. I currently have a Glock 44 and a 6? S&W 617 that needs to go back for warranty work. I?m looking to possibly add another 22LR handgun. What do you guys recommend? I?ve owned and sold a beretta 21A,Sig mosquito and a taraus ultra lite 9.

Everybody needs a single action .22 revolver!
Less expensive: Heritage Rough Rider and Ruger Wrangler
More expensive: Colt Peacemaker (.22LR and .22WMR) or Ruger Single Six (.22LR and .22WMR), or Ruger Single 10
Just a thought.

I have a Buckmark and Ruger Wrangler. For some reason I can't get the Buckmark to run 100% and this was the reason for buying the Wrangler. I can shoot the semi much better since I'm not very familiar with revolvers, especially single action only.Comment

In my estimation, the Ruger SR22 is among the best semiautomatic pistols chambered in .22LR ever produced. Off roster, they can be had for about 6 to 700 bucks. Pretty amazing little gun.Comment

Going to agree with kingransom - what's your intended use of this .22? How much do you want to spend?
If you're going to use it as an understudy of the centerfire semi-auto gun you shoot with, then go with a conversion kit, so can get used to the grip/sights of same gun.
If your'e looking for something that's just fun and reliable for shooting at the range, some have mentioned an SA revolver (Heritage, Wrangler, Single six/ten) and/or buckmark (as buckmarks are on roster). All are good ideas in different price ranges. Seeing how you already have a DA 617, you might be looking to the Buckmark.
If you want a gun that's more accurate (and easier to takedown/clean) than the Buckmark, go with the Smith & Wesson Model 41. They are more expensive, though, a little over double the cost.NRA Pistol/Rifle Instructor

Buckmark in California. Ruger Mark IV if out of California.
Then there's the Ruger Wrangler or Single Six.Comment

Ruger SR-22 is small, but a lot of fun to shoot.
