    Question about buying handguns

    Hello .

When you buy a handgun in California, are there specific documents or copies of any signed documents the FFL must give you once you finalize the purchase of the gun and pick it up ? Anything besides the normal receipt?

They are supposed to give you a copy of the DROS if you request it

I would make sure that you have a copy of the DROS when you leave the FFL.

          1. Treat all guns as if loaded (even when you know they aren't).
          2. Never point the muzzle at anything you aren't willing to destroy.
          3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target.
          4. Know your target and what is beyond it (avoid all collateral damage).
