I've been a life member for more than 20 years...paid up in full to the NRA and CRPA.

      How about you??

        That guy clearly has issues.

Brags about a life time membership, likely purchased decades ago, and yet bad mouths the NRA (often quoting anti-gunners) at every opportunity.

Why don't you quote any bad mouthing of the NRA.

You've misunderstood issues with the organization have little to do with NRA management...perhaps other than the NRA's management in spending money sent to the organization...definitely not going to fighting anti-gun laws, but instead using the money for personal expenses.

          Try reading from the start.

Life CRPA ,Life GOA,Life Benefactor NRA.
Friends might to read the NRA magazines and follow court cases filed by ILA to see the fortune NRA has allocated to RKBA .

Has the NRA done everything perfect ? Probably not, but judging from their success's and the wrath upon them by ANTI GUN Communist's, I conclude they are perfect enough too be a target .

Just read about Silicone Valley Bank being shut down by regulators because of financial insolvency ! Now that's corruption and Fed gov will use tax money to bail them out .
            Just saying .

I'm with you on the issues the NRA has had and appears to continue. No organization is perfect never will be.

Been a life member since 06.

The NRA is the gorilla in the room politicians mention every time gun control is mentioned. I hear nothing of other orgs like FPC, GOA etc. Until that day the NRA is the one fighting legislation across the country.

People bash the NRA in California but will praise CRPA well folks that's the state chapter of the NRA. This state purposefully makes RKBA as difficult as they can. Remember they are in a d*ck measuring contest with other leftist ran states as who can have the most anti gun laws on the books.

If another state has a crazy law proposed this state will draft one up that is even more nuts. Bruen has scared this state sh*tless now. Guaranteed they have legislation ready when Benetiz issues his rulings in the near future.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

Some people bought NRA memberships at extreme discounts, or via another lifetime member at extreme discounts.

NRA used to offer 70%+ off discounts to their lifetime memberships every once a while, possibly up until 2013, and/or you could join through another lifetime member at 70%+ discount.

NRA lifetime membership might of costed double digits in 90s and below.

Never know which members bought during these times, and/or never made supplemental donations, and continue to shill for them.

NRA phone tactics are worse than Yelp advertising phone calls harassing you to open ad service from them. And it seems they went with Affirmative Action hiring for their phone callers. The only group of people that seems to call me are A-A, I could tell from their use in Ebonics. (Calls me to make supplemental donations, the only voice I hear are from Black women., sometimes calls Twice a day. And sometimes tries to mask their numbers., this is some BS phone calls.)

You can request no phone calls. Or not give them a phone number. I even stopped most of the emails. Since Hanko ask, I have been a member most of my adult life and I'm in my mid seventies. Usually 1, 3, or 5 years at a time. Never was rich enough to be part of the inner circle. Just trying to put some focus on the positive things they do. Most here are painfully aware of the perceived or real short comings of some of the leadership. JMO

It used to have over 5. That's a 20% loss of membership, at a time when the population is increasing, and gun ownership is rapidly increasing.

I look at any decrease in membership as a sign we members are not promoting the NRA enough to people who value , safety, liberty and history. Its a fact some members have died within the last few years . Personally I can easily count 20 . Everyone of us probably can name a similar number who's membership was transferred to Heaven !

A co worker told me about the NRA when we talked about his collection and convinced me to join, after reading the magazines and meeting other's I became a 5 year member a few times .

Some time back a Democrat "College " Town tried to pass a handgun ban. One women interviewed said she voted against the ban because she felt safe that her neighbor had a gun . This type of person is smart enough to know a gun in the right hands gives her security .
That lady and those like her are easily recruited, as the NRA is credited with beating the stupid handgun ban.

If while talking up the NRA to a possible new member, some cal gunner type with an axe to grind sticks his nose into the conversation . Start by laughing a dismissing this individual as an unfortunate victim of propaganda and politely tell him to join Greta Sundbird a warn the world we only have a couple years left anyway .

Have you stopped beating your wife yet?

Remember what the first three letters of "assumption" are. You are assuming that I'm not a member. Because of that assumption, your request makes no logical sense.

If you are insinuating that 20% of NRA members have died relatively recently (within the last few weeks), that would be a terrible statement about how unhealthy it is to join the NRA: it would be worse than cancer.
