One other thing to bring up just because it has not been touched on yet:

You can only convert a DA/SA model SP-01 to SAO.
You can NOT convert a decocker SP-01 to SAO by just changing a trigger.
The parts used on a decocker are not compatible with DA/SA or SAO parts.

i would recommend sending an email out to czcustom. Stuart on the czforums works for czcustom as well. He can help exolain the issue.

Back in the day all we did was remove the disconectors on 75b's to make them SAO.. Not sure if things have changed with an SP01. But we were using stock cz85 triggers. Not sure if that flat face trigger has changed any geometry that's why it's not resetting properly.

and i hope the Sp01 is a da/sa version not the tactical version with decocker.

i have a feeling you need a short reset kit for that trigger. Even on the cz forums they discuss it.

Which is usually the correct disconnector for your setup to enable it to reset properly. But even then it's not a simple drop in part.

The flat face SAO trigger changes the geometry.
The flat face trigger gets rid of most of the extra forward trigger travel necessary to engage the DA sear.
This reduces the travel of the triggerbar to the point that it won't disconnect like a DA/SA trigger without the disconnector.
You still need the disconnector in the fire control group with a SAO trigger.

Getting rid of the disconnector works with a DA/SA trigger because you still have all the extra forward travel necessary to let the trigger bar function as a disconnector.
The OP has put in a SAO trigger and does not have the necessary trigger bar travel for it to work so he needs to put the disconnector back in for his sear to work correctly with the limited travel that the SAO trigger creates.

I converted my SP01 manual safety to SAO by removing the disconnector and installing a flat aluminum cgw trigger with adjustment screws.

I also removed the firing pin block system. OP it kind of looked like you were lifting the firing pin block arm with your pick.

If the adjustment screws came uninstalled from your trigger, you should be aware that the screw that limits rearward motion needs to be installed from the front of the trigger body in order to allow your allen wrench access to the head from inside the frame.
You ought to email eemman since he makes those triggers I believe.
I saw your post on czusa forums.

Please do not let the hammer drop in an open frame like you did in the video!!!! Fubar to happen...

P.s. there was no need to remove the trigger bar support spring. If you did remove this and reinstalled it,you may have made an error in installation or alignment It can be tricky!!

When I converted my Shadow 2 from DA/SA to SAO i ended up leaving the disconnector in even though everything i read said to remove it or change it. I did remove it, to see if it would work with my SAO trigger but it wouldnt. So i put it back in and it works I just have to back the screw that is on the top of the trigger, all the way out. Dont really know what is the right way to do it. Keep hearing totally contradicting things.

Yeah that?s weird. Some people say to remove the disconnector and others say don?t.

May be I did need to leave it in?

I ended up removing some material from the front of the trigger where it hits the frame and hammer drops perfect now. May be if I would have left the disconnector in, I wouldn?t have needed to remove some material from the trigger?

The trigger was too wide and wouldn?t let these trigger reset properly.

Here?s what it looks like now

If you are converting a gun with a DA/SA trigger to SAO operation while keeping the DA/SA trigger, you remove the disconnector to make it SAO.
If you are changing the DA/SA trigger out to a flat faced or curved face SAO trigger, you leave the disconnector in because the SAO triggers do not have as much forward travel as a DA/SA trigger.

What you did by letting your SAO trigger further forward is basically making it work more like how a DA/SA trigger works.
So you increased your take-up to get it to work instead of keeping the short takeup that you can have with a disconnector installed.

You will also have to re-adjust the set screws on the trigger too.

Right above your green box, CGW also ways says that the trigger will not work in an SP-01 with a firing pin block as you will not have single action reset.
Your video shows that you have the firing pin block because that's what you were releasing the hammer with.
You need to ditch all your firing block parts to make your fire control like a Pre-B.
