Apologies if this is in the wrong thread. I couldn't find a thread regarding the cmmg dissent. Are they CA compliant? Can they be converted to comply with current laws? Interested in picking one since it doesn't need a buffer tube. Thanks for any insight.

Being a pistol and not on the roster....not compliant.

If a middleman made it into a compliant (fixed mag or featurless) semi auto rifle then it would be legal.

Or just wait until the roster goes away.

EBR Works will convert it into a featureless rifle with a barrel extension. He did a good job for my Sig MPX.

No pistols unless you’re LE.

That's how I got my AR pistol, from a former LE but it has to be maglocked and can't have a brace. Mine was a stripped lower, so not sure if LE can even have this.
