Don't know if this is the correct place for this question. Apologies if not.
Is it kosher to transfer this ammo to a new owner at an FFL here in CA?
It's Vietnam era 30-06 AP. Unopened spam can.
It has been in my friends possession for years, but the goal posts have moved. I am unsure if it can be sold here in CA, or if it needs to leave the state.

Should bring you a nice price. For whatever reason, the AP 30.06 is highly desirable and sells at a premium on the CMP forums.

If you want to sell it out of state, you will have NO problem getting a good price. It's not LC, but any U.S. non-corrosive will still bring some nice bucks on gunbroker. No problems with shipping either. Just put it in a sturdy box, put the ammo diamond on it, and take it to a UPS hub. Be sure to mention an adequate shipping cost for the buyer to pay.

The ammo is CA legal and, legally, unless the transferee is an exempt person, it must be transferred through a CA DOJ licensed ammunition vendor or CA FFL dealer. [PC 30312]

would sell for $150 bucks. And in this case the the can is unopened Auction!
