Hi all! Looking for some good BLM land as my typical place involved Hodge road which has become unsafe with all the crazy unsafe shooters out there. Was wondering if anyone could pm me a better place as I would prefer to shoot alone. Or at least any advice would be appreciated. I did download the onX app and see where BLM land is but not sure which areas are good for ranging out.

Use onyx and find your own. No one gives up private spots. If done then soon ruined for everyone. Kern county public or BLM land best cannot target shoot in LA county except ranges and blm land. -
If you have a truck or a suv with at least some ground clearance....just go past the first line of shooters at Hodge and go into the middle. Or closer to the Rte 66 side. You can get about a mile in and usually find a nice spot all to your self. That's what I do.Comment

Not going to give a spot, but here's a map of allowed areas. Nearly everything north of Barstow on the 15 and 40 is open so find yourself a spot. Strongly recommend a vehicle with 4 wheel drive and good clearance.

If you drive past all the honda civics at the entrance and go in about a mile or so at hodge rd. you`ll have a spot just for yourself.Comment
