DSArms deleting orders without informing customer

I needed to just rant a little about how DSArms had left me extremely disappointed.
All started March 30th, when I decided to buy a few things from DSArms, Brass catcher, misc parts, etc.
Sure enough it's backed ordered by default, typical with any gunshops nowadays. A few days later, I got an email telling me my order has been confirmed and shipped.
Yays, I thought. Only comes to find when the package arrived, it was just a box full of peanut foam and a SINGLE $2 mag pouch on a $11 shipping charge . (WTF? does that even make sense?!) This is sometimes around early/mid April already.

So I contacted DSA and asked them what this is all about, and the guy who answered the phone told me the rest of the parts should arrive in May, and they should be shipped without additional charges. Alright, so I'll wait patiently, as a shop owner I know excessive pestering doesn't make anything go faster, just irritates every party involved.

Comes June 5th, Ive emailed them again ask for the status. Shari at DSArms replied on June 6th and simply told me my order is still backed order, and it'll be shipped as soon as becomes available. I thought to myself, even my limited production products that I import from Japan doesn't take that long to get from the manufacture to the consumer. But fine, I'll wait some more.

Here we are Jul 21st , 113 days later. I've decided to log into DSArms' site to check my order status.

Guess what? This is all I got from the account history page: "No Orders"

I know they probably have plenty of business, and don't need mine. But, I just need to get this off my chest at how disappointed how it was all handled. It wasn't so much that they didn't have the items to fulfill my order, it was more so that they've strung me along. I've could have used the time to construct my own. This is something I would expect from an ebay shop operated in china, but C'mon.

I suppose other than the rant above, what should I do about this? I've already dropped them an email, and a voice mail regarding to the issue today. I haven't gotten anyone live yet since the time differences. I'll probably call again tomorrow to see if I can get someone live.

Sounds like a conversation with a warm body is in need. Things fall through the cracks occasionally; hope they get you squared away right.

I'm purely speculating.. but before you get TOO worked up.. confirm that it didn't drop off your order history becaus it only shows orders from the last 4 months or something..

backorders really test my patience.. but it's always a pleasant surprise when it magically shows up.

i've waited two years for a barrel that i'm finally getting this week..

too bad the forend i need to complete it is still backordered at Midway!

TWO years for a barrel?! wow. I wonder how often do they get return package from people who have moved, denied credit cards ,etc

If order status are the way they are, only shows the most recently 4 months. It would probably behoove them to change that variable in their shopping cart to something more realistic.

I would try another vendor. $11. On a $2. Part is crazy.

                  That's just not right.
I waited 10ish months on LaRue and near close to a year on JAE, at least they finally delivered.
Canceling the order without telling you is inexcusable.

I have had nothing but GREAT customer service form DSA. I ordered an L1A1 receiver that took 9 months to get. They were very helpful as i called eery couple of months for an update.

also, our shop ordered 30 DSA Ar receivers, which took from November to June to get. Very helpful and friendly. Everyone is busy, and things DO happen. We lost an order on some parts with the receivers, but they corrected it after a call. No one's perfect, and DSA seems to want to make it right if there's an issue.

I think a box w/ the parts is going to show up at your door in a few days. The way they handle backorders is, they charge you the full shipping amount up front, send whatever they have, then when the rest comes in, they send it and don't charge you any more shipping. And I think the order disappeared from the site cause they shipped it.
