    DOJ Delayed me

Purchased my G17 Gen3 in OD on Nov 14 was delayed on Nov 19th and still delayed. Coming up on my 30days.
I just purchased my last Glock back in Aug with no issues. Did a life Scan and sent it up to Sacramento.

    Anyone else get delayed lately.
Or any experiences with delays .. did it finally go through or did you have to go thru the process again after the 30days...?

    Thanks

I was delayed once because the investigator waited until Day 9 to run the NICS background check, and the NICS system was down. Since it was a Friday, he slapped a delay on it, stuck it back on the shelf, and apparently forgot about it. By the time I finally got ahold of someone at the DOJ the following week, the NICS system was back up. After the person I spoke with figured out what had happened, he ran it through NICS while I was still on the phone. About 2 minutes later, he told me I was approved.

Hopefully you did pre purchase due diligence and chose a FFL that delivers on undetermined status.

I had a customer get delayed. It was approved in 15 days. Customer has bought 2 other firearms in the last 4 months with no issues from the DOJ. Not sure why he was delayed.

Seems to be a lot of delays in the last few months.

My BIL just got delayed in Cali, and the way the letter reads that if they don't come back with a decision in (i think 30 days), it is up to the discretion of the FFL. Seems weird, but he showed me the letter and that is exactly how it read

The bolded is a BIG LIE.

First initiated in 2014 when pc 28220 [4] went into affect.

Bonta removed the lie from the CaDOJ-FAQ page a few months ago. But left it on the delayed letters.

Release on undetermined should be the first thing you ask when going to purchase a firearm. If no, then it's wrong number gotta go ..⁸
