    Asking for Shooting Tips....

I noticed when I shoot my Glock 19 w/fixed sights and point my gun downrange at the center of the target at about half the distance of the range (25 yrds), I noticed that my bullets fall slightly left and down just 3 or so inches off the bullseye. In order for me to hit center, I have to aim my gun to the upper right of the bullseye. Is this suppose to happen? I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the gun. I shoot right handed by the way. I would like to ask you all that own a Glock 19 for your advice.

    Thanks.

First thing I would recommend is to make sure you have a tight grip with all your fingers on the pistol grip. Low left tends to indicate you are squeezing your bottom fingers when pulling the trigger, which will pull the barrel in that area.

      1. Check your grip. Strong hand should be high up on the beavertail as possible. Weak hand should cover the grip and your thumbs should be stacked on top of each other, pointed down range. On my 19, my left thumb (weak hand) is extends beyond the take-down lever.
      2. Buy snap caps if you don't already have them
      3. Load the snap caps in with live ammo randomly to see if you're flinching
      4. Squeeze the trigger until it breaks; don't pull
      5. Dry fire. Alot.
      6. Control your breathing; inhale, exhale partially as you squeeze, hold for a second as the trigger breaks

Take a basic handgun course at your local range. It sounds like you're missing out on the basic fundamentals.

That's a pretty common issue - you might be jerking the trigger. The triggers on Glocks are notoriously difficult to get used to, especially if you trained on something else. I've noticed that i do this too, but usually only when i'm getting tired (after 150 rounds or so).

                  This link might help too...
