Ruger LC Carbine vs Keltec CMR30?

    5.7 vs 22mag

I'm intrigued by both, and surprisingly don't care for the 9mm pcc anymore . I guess that fad is dead to me and this is new!

In CA .22mag has advantages being rimfire exempt from awb.

Think Paul Harrel did a vid on yt recently but have not had a chance to watch it.

I think either one makes an interesting HD option.

The CMR30 makes more sense for a range toy since the ammo is more common and like drclark said it is a rimfire.

      Calguns answer: Get both!

22mag is cheaper than 5.7, easier to find

I believe those freedom mags you bought several years ago hold 30 rounds for it

          Neither.
This is a rare case where "buy both" is not the right answer.

I can get the keltec for 650 locally and an independent store. It's tempting, but 16" barrel with ammo costing as much as 223.

And 5.7 is just a cool round in general.
