I'm new to muzzle brakes and I freely admit to knowing next to nothing about them other than their ability to reduce recoil. I just bought a Tikka T3 Tactical in .308 and my barrel has come threaded for a muzzle brake. I know Tikka has one specifically designed for the T3, but they're next to impossible to find on the net.
My question for you is this:
If I buy a brake for a .308, will it fit my Tikka? Are brakes a "one size fits all" device, or need I choose a brake specifically for my barrel? I can't find any information regarding the threading, which may have clued me in on looking for something similar. I'm lost, and I'd appreciate any guidance you can give me.
