    Old shooting books

I am re-reading Fast and Fancy and despite Ed McGivern's obnoxious writing I am enjoying the sections on fanning, slip guns, and other esoteric techniques that did not make it into the modern era.

What other older books would you recommend?

I have read Jack Conner's and Elmer Keith's books, but not much else. Hatcher? PO Ackley?

Charles Allen “Skeeter” Skelton. I enjoyed reading his gun stories back in my teenage days.

I have a 1951 encyclopedia of firearms I got for like 50 cents from an estate sale. It’s super interesting, I like how pragmatic it is compared to a lot of modern firearms knowledge.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

If you reload, Ken Waters books are essential.

          Agree
Lots and lots of good testing.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

Years of Gun Digest in digital form...

Insane value for the money. Fun to browse through articles and catalogs ( and MSRP prices! ) from decades past.

Don’t read these if you have any quibbles with raw killing, this guy is a cut throat ***hole IMO.

That said it was a different time back then ….so okay., now I know.
