She 26 shoots nice (IMO), the 43 carries nicer. I don't carry for target purposes so of the two I chose the 43 platform.

I actually went to buy a 43x about a year ago, was advised due to popularity and stock that 43x’s and any MOS model pistols were temporarily not being offered at blue label prices. So I just bought a Gen5 26. It runs fine, and I’m not sad about missing out on the 43x. Nothing wrong with either gun. On a positive, magpul 12 round 26 magazines are about the perfect size and are $9 each. Picked up like 8 of em. Have a couple 21 round mags for reloads in my cars.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

I am leaning toward the Glock43 with +2 extension giving me 8+1 in a package comparable to the 43X in grip height. They also make a 10 round mag.
The 26 is thicker, heavier, but a little smaller in length and height, and has the benefit of accepting my 15 round mags with the same grip height as the 43x with 5 more rounds.
          Still a tight call.

Which one would you put on your carry permit if limited?

Glock 26 10+1 rounds, thick, not as easily concealable heavy, accepts all gen 3 magazines up tp 32 round.

Glock 43 with 8+1 with +2 extended magazine making it comparable to a 43X, thinner, lighter more easily concealable, 2 less rounds. 10+1 magazine available.

I will go with a Glock 26 with an RDS…

The grip feels more like a full-sized Glock - that checks off the controllability.

It takes a G19, G17, etc. magazines - that checks off capacity, depending on use case.

And I have taken a stock one, except for a red dot, with factory ammo to an action shooting match from deep concealment. No performance limiting issues.

43 is good to shoot, great to carry. 26 is better to shoot, a little bit worse to carry. I use my 19 for carry when I’m dressed to conceal, 43 when I’m dressed lighter.

                Options are great, get both!
